Center School Families,
After 25 years with our district, Principal Marie Pratt announced her retirement today. The news is bittersweet for me...I have worked alongside Marie for many years and I consider her to be an exemplary leader and mentor. I'm also deeply grateful for our friendship. Please join me in congratulating and celebrating Marie's career in education and her dedication to our students.

Here is the content of Principal Pratt's letter to the Blueberry Hill Community:
Dear Blueberry Hill Families,
Thanksgiving, one of my favorite holidays, is a time to give thanks for the blessings in one’s life. As for me, I am thankful for Blueberry Hill School and for the Blueberry Hill family. It is because of this deep sense of gratitude to the Blueberry Hill family that I feel mixed emotions as I announce my retirement at the end of this school year.
Blueberry Hill has been my second home for a very long time and what an amazing journey it has been! Over the years, the support and confidence of the children, staff and families at Blueberry Hill have motivated, sustained and inspired me. Blueberry is a special community filled with exceptional people dedicated to creating and fostering a warm, nurturing, learning community. I will always remember the fond friendships and support of the staff, families, and professionals of the Longmeadow Public Schools.
I met with the staff this afternoon and will visit classrooms over the next couple of days to talk with students. I look forward to spending the next several months working with staff and students on some of the wonderful work we have yet to accomplish to make this year one of the best.
The joy and laughter of your children is a gift that I will treasure. I am truly blessed and thankful!
With heartfelt gratitude,
