Letter from Mrs. Hutton

posted May 18, 2016, 5:51 AM by Laura Giuggio

Good Wednesday morning to all,

Please see the attached letter from the Easthampton Community Center. It's a lovely letter from Director Robin Balecki expressing gratitude for our ongoing donations to the Food Pantry Program.  My gratitude for your caring spirit and supporting our community centered programs.

I'd like to take this opportunity to share gentle reminders regarding our arrival and dismissal procedures. Students are arriving too early to school. There is no supervision until 8:25 and I estimate  that we have about 1/3 of our students arriving before 8:15. I love the enthusiasm but it's been problematic in front of the school and on the esplanade since the weather turned warmer. Please time your child's departure so he/she arrives as close to 8:30 as possible.

Spring is a great time to remind your child about bike safety. I've received calls from concerned citizens about children not using crosswalks and riding in the road rather than using our sidewalks. Let's work together to encourage safety to and from school each day.

Dismissal time: students may not play on the playground at dismissal without parent supervision for any period of time. We will bring students into the office and call home  should we discover they are on the fields or playscape without a family member present.

Thank-you for your cooperation with our procedures.  With your assistance and support, we  ensure the safety of our children.

Hope to see you at the parade on Saturday...there will be a special appearance of our Cardinal!

.Thank-you to our Community from the ECC.pdf

Sincerely,

Donna Hutton, Principal
